Our AE is an educational setting designed to accommodate educational, behavioral, mental health and/or medical needs of children and adolescents that cannot be adequately addressed in a traditional school environment.

Our AE campuses have been established to meet the needs of children and adolescents who experience one of the following: mental/physical health problems, risk of dropping out of school, personal/family problems/situations, absenteeism, disruptive behavior, being a parent, abuse, frequent relocation, homelessness, inadequate emotional support, pregnancy and/or lack of attaining proficiency . Our programs incorporate curriculum elements that focus on improving student self-esteem , fostering growth of individuality, learning and implementing coping skills and enhancing social skills.

Our campuses are not just primarily for disruptive students and those at risk for dropping out of a traditional school environment. We have expanded significantly in function as educators, parents, and wider communities recognize that many children cannot learn effectively in a traditional school environment. For children and adolescents with psychological and behavioral issues, substance use and abuse, depression, and violence, we can provide a safe therapeutic environment and increased individualized attention. For children and adolescents with learning disabilities and certain medical conditions, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),  and disruptive mood dysregulation disorder (DMDD), we can provide integrated education and clinical services in one place to facilitate learning.
